R&B/Hip-Hop Soul artist Musiq Soulchild continues his partnership with Elavon, reinforcing the company’s commitment to uplifting communities.
Last fall, MAX worked with U.S. Bank / Elavon and renowned R&B sensation Musiq Soulchild to launch Open for Small Business Atlanta–the inaugural season of an ongoing campaign that uplifts and celebrates diverse small businesses. Building on last year’s success, Open For Small Business 2023 has expanded to include businesses from Atlanta, Minneapolis, and Miami. The program, in collaboration with community partners, celebrates and elevates small businesses while providing opportunities for recognition and support.
Musiq Soulchild continues his partnership with Elavon, reinforcing the company’s commitment to uplifting communities. Musiq Soulchild embodies the spirit of this campaign and exemplifies Elavon’s commitment to strengthening the communities they work in. Apart from his musical accomplishments, Musiq Soulchild is a vocal proponent for elevating communities by supporting the small businesses that serve them. He also actively engages with community organizations, providing music education opportunities to Atlanta's youth and raising awareness about mental health issues among Black men.
Open for Small Business 2023 is a testament to the resilience, determination, and diversity of small businesses across Atlanta, Minneapolis, and Miami. By sharing the inspiring stories of these businesses, Elavon encourages the community to rally behind and support the small business ecosystem.
Kicking off in Minneapolis, Elavon's 2023 campaign introduces us to Reviving Roots Therapy & Wellness and El Itacate Restaurant. These two businesses represent the thriving community of diverse small business owners in Minneapolis, a city teeming with entrepreneurial spirit. By featuring these two establishments, Elavon brings attention to the incredible contributions made by small businesses in shaping vibrant local economies.
Musiq Soulchild and Elavon go back to where it all started: Atlanta. Musiq Soulchild is thrilled to support small businesses–and especially grateful for the opportunity to uplift Black-owned companies in his own community of Atlanta. This portion of the campaign highlights two more diverse small businesses: Paco Tacos ATL and PuffCuff. Helping provide access to opportunities, tools, services, and resources to underserved small businesses benefits the entire Atlanta community and we’re proud to be a part of this campaign with Musiq Soulchild and Elavon.
Stay tuned for more updates as this campaign launches in Atlanta and Miami!
Musiq Soulchild blends his music style between R&B, funk, blues, jazz, gospel, and hip-hop. Inspired by music icons like Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, and Donny Hathaway, Musiq decided he wanted to become a musician when he was a teenager. He dropped out of high school and built his musical repertoire by beatboxing for MCs, scatting at jazz clubs, and performing a cappella on the street. Since then, he has released three albums that hit number one on the US R&B/Hip-Hop chart, has 13 GRAMMY nominations, and has won two awards for Best Male R&B Artist at the 2001 BET Awards and the 2002 ASCAP Awards.
