Senior Video Producer

Role Description

We are looking to hire a Senior Video Producer to join our content creation team. This role will be responsible for overseeing the pre-production, production, and post-production of our major marketing programs. This person will need to have a grasp of camera equipment, be able to manage budgets, book crews, coordinate vendors and equipment, handle permitting and insurance requirements, identify locations, develop concepts and help manage productions from both on and off set.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Director to ensure that all production goals and requirements are met
  • Manage a small junior production team
  • Negotiate contracts and fees, research and book vendors, locations, and crews
  • Manage and oversee project budgets
  • Allocate resources to assigned projects to successfully complete content delivery
  • Conduct research and create production plans
  • Oversee film permits and insurance certificate needs
  • Organize and archive raw materials, project files, and other assets
  • Identify potential risks and plan for contingencies

Qualifications

The skills required to be considered for this position include:
  • 5+ years of experience in video production, including some project management
  • Strong understanding of pre-production, production and post-production roles, processes and tools as well as social media production executions and deliverables
  • Ability to manage a small junior team
  • Knowledge of project breakdowns, budget, and scheduling, and an understanding of how to prep a project rolling into production
  • Produce large scale original content campaigns, including video and photography deliverables with a strong emphasis on innovation and design for the content space
  • Familiarity with the major social media platforms (aspect ratio, vid length, size, etc.)
  • Ability to manage budgets and crew members
  • Able to adapt quickly to change and meet deadlines
  • Impeccable social, oral communication, and writing skills, including the ability to communicate and collaborate with all types of personalities and people in different positions
  • Strong background of experience working closely with creatives
  • Timeliness in executing tasks, recognizing when to escalate and resolving issues
  • Ability to meet & achieve goals in an autonomous work environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree
Skills preferred, but not required include:
  • Written / oral Spanish language skills
  • Experience with Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, After Effects or other video editing
  • Familiarity with production and post-production for broadcast television
